Birth Control Question?

I have been on Depo Provera for about a year now. I have had lots of weight gain, and I have recently discovered that it causes bone density loss. Because of these reasons, I have decided to quit using the shot method of birth control.

I have been researching alternative methods of birth control and I feel like the pill is right for me. My question is though, how do I change birth control methods? Do i go in for my next Depo Shot and just say that i want to be on the pill? My next shot is scheduled July 18th, but should I go in earlier?

And also, because bone density loss is caused by Depo Provera, should I take a bone density test to make sure I'm okay?

I'm not sure of the real name if there is one but the masks and characters modeled after the plague doctors in Italy (especially Venice) have a name. The character is called Medico Della Peste which just means plague doctor. So theoretically the mask would just be called la maschera del medico della peste.

Why do people hate Miley Cyrus?

I just turned into a Miley Cyrus fan recently since her new album "Can't Be Tamed" came out and I just gotta ask; why do people hate Miley Cyrus so much? I mean she's not doing anything new. Britney Spears did it, Christina Aguilera did it. "Dirrty" and "I'm a Slave 4 U" was worse than "Can't Be Tamed" and "Who Owns My Heart".

Also the pictures scandal from 2007 was so stupid. All pre-teens/teenage girls do that. 12 year old girls have Myspaces/Facebooks and act way more sluttier than what Miley does. Also why are you guys blaming Miley for the theme of "Can't Be Tamed" and "Who Owns My Heart"? Maybe Miley didn't want that theme of the music videos, the director is in charge of the theme and the style. Not the artists.

Do you guys believe in every single rumor you stupid people believe in? Until you know Miley personally you shouldn't judge her. She's trying to act like a normal teenager soon to be young adult. Miley is trying to expand her fan base from tweens to teenagers and young adults. She can't be Hannah Montana forever.

If she did she would rebel more than she already is. She will be 18 years old in two weeks, she can't stay innocent all her life. She doesn't want that. Plus what teenager Miley's age wants to listen to songs like "Nobody's Perfect" or "Best of Both Worlds"? They want songs like "Who Owns My Heart" and "Can't Be Tamed".

I mean you guys don't mind listening to Ke$ha whose more inappropriate than Miley is. At least Miley's still in school. Ke$ha's dumb a$$ dropped out of school. Parents quit blaming Miley or any other celebrity for your bad parenting. They are not responsible on how your children behave. You are.

Just because Ke$ha and Lady Gaga are in their 20's doesn't mean they still can't be called a whore, which is what they are. Miley isn't. BTW I'm 18 years old going onto 19 next month. We all change, we all grow and experience life in a different way.

If Miley stays Hannah Montana forever she'll become depressed because she's trying to please your children. Don't your children grow up too? Your daughters are acting like Kesha before Miley even became an artist.

Selena Gomez may want to be labeled as a Disney star but Miley doesn't.

I don't know why other people hate her but on a personal note I dislike her (not hate) because she just comes off as extremely full of it. She's cocky, she seems to think she's a gift to the music world or some sort of a musical prodigy, and whilst she has managed to garner a large amount of success at a young age, she's no where near good enough to be saying or doing some of the things she does. I've seen her in two interviews (The Jonathan Ross Show, and Graham Norton), and she did not come off well in either one of them. She really does seem to be a disaster waiting to happen, not because of the clothing or the music videos (which are visualised to her personal taste as she has said so herself), but because she's not grounded at all. The girl seems to have her head floating up above the clouds somewhere and she seems to be trying to live up to two conflicting ideals. On the one hand she wants to be percieved as a good little christian girl on the other she's sick of have young fans and wants to be seen as an experimental adult artisit, neither one of these mesh well together and the results are already showing some signs of disaster.

Exactly 2 month's tops. I plan on my diet by tommorow and plan on excercising 3 times a week and walk up and down the sidewalk for 30 minutes. I want to get rid of my double chin and my three stomach's in less than a year. I plan on losing 30 ibs in 6 month's. but i was wondering how much weight can I lose in 2 month's before school starts? The debate over the question of what is the optimal number of immigrants gets skewed by illegal immigration- primarily from Mexico due to the fact they are our southern neighbor. Some of the illegals have been Mexican gangsters-and those who have not been are more likely to be exploited by unscrupulous employers, human smugglers called Coyotes.
Most Americans- want to see increased border security, and greater effort made to catch illegals.
They want to see the police check the immigration status of people they pull over for fake ID's, and to turn people who are not in the nation away for government services. The political class dose not want to do a thing- since the right sees the illegals as a source of cheep labor and the left sees them as a dependent class who will keep them in power. Italy and the rest of Europe can learn quite abit from examining the situation in the US, such as the hallmark of a good immigration policy is dose it reward hard working people who are trying to improve their lives.

I just join a gym 2 weeks ago.. I weighed 265 pounds.. i now weigh 252 pounds.. of course I can not tell any difference at all..

My question is.. Going to the gym is no problem at all.. my problem is my eating habits.. while I have changed to eating mostly fish, chicken, low fat yogurts and bananas.. I was wondering If there is a weight loss pill I can take to help suppress my hunger? Eating is the hardest thing for me... and I find myself nearly giving in to any and all temptations..

A friend of mine recommended Lipo 6 because he used it when he was younger and now hes in shape and stays that way but eats whatever he wants..

Just wondering if i should stick to what I am doing so far.. or try to add a pill and see what happens?

you've, done brilliant already loosing that much in 2 weeks, of course it will be hard at first to change your eating habits, but after a month or so your body will become used to smaller portions and you will wonder how you managed to eat more. id say try and stick it out without the pill because at the end of the only your will power will get you through this and you will feel better about it if it was all down to your own hard work.

It sounds like you have hit a plateau. On any diet, you will lose, then hit the plateau where you don't lose, then lose again.

Eating only one meal a day is starving your body. It will cause your body to go into starvation mode. It is better to eat 6 small meals a day. A small meal will fool your body and keep it from going into starvation mode. Small meals can be just breaking up two nutritional meals. Just make sure you get enough calories throughout the day.

Spicy foods seem to help speed up the metabolism so I always incorporate one spicy food per day. Normally at dinner.

Confusing scorpio man - please help?

we are in our twenties and met at work. im a capricorn/virgo sun/moon and he's a scorpio/aquarius. he was very social and popular and me the opposite. he was very attracted to me initially and opened up very quickly. came very close to me, asked me what i thought of marriage, told me about his family, tried to play footsie with me, etc etc. he was also the most sensitive person i had ever met.

i grew suspicious and tested him a little....needless to say, it backfired and now he's off. its ~6months now. i sent him ~50 emails but no reply but he made his twitter page public and i saw hints in his msgs to each of my emails-he just stubbornly refused to reply directly to them.

Wow, I can understand how some women dislike men cause like Hitler was a man, osama bin laden was a man, most suicide bombers are men, most gang members are men, most drug dealers are men, most muggers are men, most rapists/child molesters are men, more kids are fatherless than motherless.. Josef Stalin and Pol Pot were men.Go to middle east and see how the men are treated than women, I mean in China female fetuses are aborted and the boys are seen as more important and kings.
I always read about 4 men robbing a shop at gun point, or 4 men blowing up a air plane filled with people together. Never really see that about women.

As study has that men commit 13.5 million crimes per year, and women only commit 2 million crimes per year, that is a big difference. That means for all the crimes men do in a year, women do in 7 years. It also means for each son you have their is a more chance of him being quite mental and evil compare to each daughter. CRAZY!
Its scary because sure there is female serial killers but for every one female serial killer there is 10 males ones, they out number women by far, and rapists are mostly males to.

ok, so i was FORCED onto the new twitter, and I'm using it. However my time line is LEGIT messed up. the tweets on my timeline come up from 20 seconds ago, 40 seconds ago, even 1 HOUR AGO!! it doesn't make any sense.

Usually the timeline is supposed to show the tweets THAT WERE JUST TWEETED, not from an hour ago.

Am i dealing with a technical difficulty, and if so, HOW DO I FIX IT!

I am from Italy and I have moved to the US a few years back. I find most American women (not al) only worth a one night stand and by that I mean that any respectable woman would never engage in casual sex.

American girls are easy since the early age and dress like whores starting at 13. What amazes me most is how much low self esteem they have and lack of respect for their own body/soul. In Italy no woman for instance would ever dare flash their breasts at strangers, or act like a drunk s.l.u.t in public or she would never find a husband. Here in the US it seems most guys are confortable marrying redeemed sluts.

It amazes me because I have never seen girls flashing their breasts or (even worse) bottom for guys or making out with other women until I came to the US. That says a lot about the culture here.

You guys can try to cover it up all you want, but there is no way you'll find anything like "Spring Break" or "MArdi Gras" in any European country. Women there just have more respect for themselves and men more self esteem not to marry sluts (women which have had a lot of partners).

I would also put the blame of this somewhat on men. Growing up in Italy, especially as teenager, none of my guy friend would ever dare playing a girl (granted the girl didn't act like a slut). They would tipically fall in love with her. Here in the US it seems like the opposite is the norm. By the way, all my American guy friends who travelled to Italy have confirmed Italian women are beautiful and they are the hardest women to get with.

There is a difference between being sexy like Italian women, and plain slutty like American women.

What amazes me is that plenty of the people here compare topless sunbathing on a beach (which is not meant for sexual tension) to actual flashing parts of your body to the request of drunk horny men in the middle of a street. Amazing.

Study abroad in Madrid, Florence, or Rome?

I am a 20 year old male sophomore American student looking to study abroad in Fall 2011. I wasn't really considering Italy, until a friend told me how amazing it was. I've been to Barcelona before and absolutely loved Spain! I took Spanish in High School and had no trouble getting around while in Spain. I was wondering which city you would reccomend most for a male american college student and why? Also, please try to include which city is less expensive, has the best night life, and easiest to travel to other countries of Europe.

First off I would not recommend Italy. Bureaucracy at Italian universities can be a a pain, and it can make it a little harder to settle in. Also Italian public transport is not the best, and if getting around the rest of Europe is your plan (the best way/cheapest way is to do this by train - inter rail - or coach) then getting from Italy elsewhere may be an issue!

Spain is a great option, especially if you already speak a bit of Spanish. It is a favourite amongst foreign students for a number of reasons:

- The weather
- The beaches
- The relaxed lifestyle
- The food
- The fiestas
- The universities are of a decent standard, but not too challenging, meaning you won't have to spend all of you time studying
- The language is a useful one to learn - lots of people in the world speak Spanish.

There are also quite a few cities in Spain that are decent options for study. Of course there are Madrid and Barcelona, but you should also think about somewhere like Seville, Granada, Valencia, Salamanca, Valladolid, Zaragoza and many more.

Madrid and Barcelona are the most expensive, but also have the best nightlife. Seville and other student dominated cities are a lot cheaper and you can still find something to do every night of the week. There is a bit of something for everyone. With regards to getting around the rest of Europe, Spain is not in the perfect place (somewhere like germany is a lot more central) however Spain has a good train an bus network which can get you easily to France no matter where you are, and from there you can get around the rest of the continent. these are the symptoms i have :
Obession with food and eating (i feel controlled to not eat)
Unusual eating habits (cut fodd into very small pieces)
Intentional starvation
Obsession with weight
Fear of gaining weight
Desire to lose weight
Denial of hunger (i do this alot to convince myself im not hungry)
Intense body dissatisfaction
Repeatedly checking weight
Distortion of body image (my mom say that i have this)
Believing too fat even when thin (i think im fat but im not thin)
Denial of low body weight (ok again i dont think im thin at all)
Excessive exercise
Absent menstrual periods(3 months december is my 4th month)
Thinning hair
Cold sensitivity
Bone loss (ive shrunk a half inch and my bones are really weak)
Low breathing rate
Low body temperature (im always cold when my friends say its not cold)
Dehydration
Light-headedness (ive almost passed out a couple of times)
Low self-esteem
Isolation
Excessive preoccupation with food
Consider themselves overweight despite being the contrary
Self-starvation
Hyperactivity

im really scared because in my mind i feel like it controls me, ive told my mom but she just says i should eat more. she doesnt understand what im going through and that i want to be normal but im so afraid of gaining weight because i want to lose 10 lbs really bad. im 5'1/2 and 110lbs:( i disgust myself when looking in the mirror and am constantly uncomftarable so i dont eat. i eat at most 1000 calories but thats rare because i usually eat way under that. then ill go to the gym and whenever i want to stop my mind reminds me of how i want to look and ill push harder (burning around 300 at least) sucky thing is is that i get muscel real easy and then i feel fat so i eat less:( please help

Yes, you have an eating disorder. Binging and purging is a symptom of bullemia, not anorexia. Your symptoms are of anorexia.
If your mother does not understand the severity of this disorder, then you need to talk to a doctor, a school nurse, a counselor, or some sort of therapist. I know two girls who were anorexic and both ended up in the hospital, one had a heart attack, before they finished high school. They will never be fully healthy again. Please do not let this happen to you. Eating disorders are mental illnesses that can't simply be fixed by "eating more", they need therapy and the caring attention of a professional.
Let me be the first to say that your weight/height ratio is normal, even light. It is not your weight that is a problem, it is your body image, and only your courage to find help will heal you. Please find help so that you are not another victim who could have lived a beautiful, full life.

okay so im 14 and just visited my GP 3-4 months ago saying that i am obese. I used to be 80 kgs (175 lbs) and i am now 75kgs (165 lbs) and for my height of 5'2 that is a lot. now i want to get to 120 lbs FAST!!! how do i do that??? I have already tried Atkins diet and got to 152 lbs but put the weight back on... sorry if my conversions arent correct their guesses. Plz tell me how i can lose weight FAST as this concerns my health as well as my self esteem.

Cut out all sugars & starches. No sodas, juices, cookies, candy, cakes, etc. As healthy as fruit may be, it's natural sugars do not only not promote fat loss, they actually promote fat storage (fructose is the most lipogenic carb).

Make sure half your meals are green non starchy vegs & eat lots of protein & good fats, limit your complex carb portions to no more than your protein portion.

I am adamantly opposed to low calorie dieting because most people lose a good portion of lean tissue (including vital organs like the heart) along with fat stores. There is no nutrition in fat stores, only energy. Most people get impatient and lower their calories and increase their exercise to a point where they lose so much lean tissue that when they return to what was maintenance level eating they are now accumulating more fat stores because their caloric needs have dropped due to the loss of this tissue as well as their metabolism slowing down to work more efficiently on fewer calories & it becomes a vicious cycle of dieting and more loss (including vital organs like the heart). This stress to the vital organs cannot be healthy.

we are going on honeymoon trip to italy (24Nov to 10Dec). the route would be rome-assisi-pisa-cinqueterre-bologna -trento-venice. would like to drop by salzburg from venice and then on to munich. need help on the following;
1) is it absolutely necessary to get train tickets prior to the trip or is it ok to buy at train station when we are there? (for all 3 countries)
2) is it also advisable to book for accomodation? we are on a tight budget. (for all 3 countries)
3) is a day train for venice->salzburg better? or night? i read day train stops over at villach. is there time to look around? heard the stretch from villach to salzburg is particularly scenic.

1) No, you don't have to buy tickets in advance. They will will generally be available on the day of the trip - particularly during that period of the year when there are fewer tourists. One exception is that the 8th of December is a holiday here, and the trains will be crowded - especially on the routefrom Verona through Trento and Bolzano where two of the more popular Christmas markets will be running. However, many of the trains on the route are regional trains for which there are no reservations anyway.

2) In the larger places, there are reservation services which can find you a room on arrival, but they may not be the cheapest of places on short notice. I would pre-book here; especially in the smaller towns.

3) Villach is a nice town. If you wanted to spend some time there, you could just take a later train from Villach to Salzburg. I have always taken the night train to Salzburg which is a good way to go. You save the cost of a hotel room for the night.

ok I have a 19 year old daughter who thinks she is ugly. She has always been self conscous when it comes to her looks and it has gotten worse......When she was in middle school she hated to wear short sleve shirts because she had freckes on them , she would often say she was fat and ugly. I put her in a modeling class in 8th grade that promoted it help girls gain confidence. it olny made things worse, In highschool she would take 2 hours to get dress but still thought she was ugly. When all her friends started to get boyfriends and she didnt she got depressed and though it was do to being fat so she diet..it was a health diet tho......now she has gotten to the point where she wont even look in a mirror.....hates wearimg anything short or tight becuase she thinks she is to fat , she just think she is so worthless...her dad and i always tell her she is so pretty but she doesnt believe us...she is so sesitive when it come to how she looks as well like if i make a comment about blending in her make up she gets all mad and doents want to go out of the house. I mean she really takes pride in how she looks...she colors her hair , takes showers everymoring....shaves everyday , moisturizes , washes her face......takes time to pick out her outfit...even goes to the tanning bed....but she thinks she is still ugly no matter what and i dont know how to help her anymore .......also in high school she got diagnoses with a type of muscular dystrophy that causes her to walk a little weird and that made things even worse because she always says how she feels like a handicap.....

A month or so ago, I went bikini shopping, and I was so anxious to show it off. So. I took a mirror picture with the flash. You couldn't see my face. Just me in the bikini. I wasn't standing seductively or anything. Just standing there with the caption: "I just bought a bikini !!:D" my profile is set to friends only. Ten minutes later, I deleted it, because I decided I really didn't want it up. I'm sixteen. I have plans on going on Americas Got Talent next year, and I don't want anything bad to surface on me. Me and the ex broke up a month ago. She wanted space etc wasn't sure what she wanted. Anyway I gave her that and never hounded her once. I have to work at the same place as well as her. So see her pretty much everyday.

Two weeks after the break up she was calling and texting me but she said she doesn't know what she wants still. Anyway I said please don't contact me until you've made your mind up but i'm not waiting forever.

I have been acting stand offish and Professional around her recently and deleted her off facebook as I don't want to see her updates, plus it has helped to move on from the sadness.

For anyone who didn't know or wasn't sure, nevershoutnever! A.K.A Cristofer Drew Ingle has officially changed his alias to Cristofer Drew and the Shout. The story is that he original made the stage name nevershoutnever! on MySpace because that was the cool thing to do back then and he wanted to be popular on MySpace, which is where he was discovered. Now, he thinks too many bad things are associated with that name and he's not trying to be popular or known anymore. I personally don't like it for two main reasons. First, I think it's bad for him because not many people know about the name change so they won't know which album or song is his on itunes or in stores. Even some of his biggest fans aren't aware yet. Second, I adored the name nevershoutnever! and thought the one word thing was really cool and unique (which apparently it isn't). I don't think I'll ever really call him Cristofer Drew and the Shout. It's too ordinary and doesn't stand out in a list of bands. So, I was wondering what you thought about it and if you could tell me any more of the story. Thanks!

We've got a new guy from Italy at school, and let me tell you, they don't say Italian guys are hot for nothing. Well, I'm pretty shy with guys I don't know, so it was already pretty difficult to get up the courage to talk to him. But I just found out his English is very poor and he can barely understand anything you say. I really want to meet him, and the conversation would have been awkward anyway, but the fact that he barely speaks English makes things more difficult. He's in my free period, and we've got this quad at our school, and he's always lounging there when me and my friends are out there. I figure this would be a good setting. “Markuuus, where are we going?”
The scrawny blonde squeezed his bicep. “Just a little further, behind those big trees.” said Markus, pointing to three rather large olive trees just a few feet away from them.
Their words were coated in a rather thick Italian accent as they walked an unbeaten path in the middle of the woods near their old town church in Verona, Italy. As they got closer, Markus’ heart beat quickened. Just a little bit farther. He thought to himself. She deserves this anyway. The words were there to comfort him.
You know, you didn’t have to bring me out in the middle of no where so that you didn’t have to worry about anyone taking me away from you.”
From the corner of his eye, Markus could see her wanting eyes staring up at him with a smirk etched into her lips.
Every now and then Emily Rivers would say little remarks, quite like this one that she just gave. They were only given so she could feel as if he really did care about her and not want her just for sex.
Grant it, she might know that he didn’t care for her, but she did not know that Markus didn’t want her for anything. Instead, she was just his first experiment, out of many that would come.
Just ahead, a small, wooden, shack slowly came into view.
Markus pointed. “There. Do you see it?”
Emily pushed her face into the darkness, trying to get a better view, and then another smirk was slapped on her face.
A bit small; hope you don’t mind getting close.” Said Emily; a giggle echoing in the darkness around them.
Markus held back a gag and smiled down, letting a low chuckle emerge.
Not if you don’t.” This made her pathetic giggle screech to a higher level before she snuggled closer to his bicep that she held onto like a child holding on to their blanket.
So, how did you find this place anyway?” said Emily; her eyes wandering around with a hint of fear in them.
Markus rolled his shoulders. “I just came across it one day when I was wandering around.” her face scrunched up at his words.
Why would you ever want to wander, alone, in here?”When she spoke, her voice squeaked; Markus gritted his teeth trying to stop himself from lashing out. In the end, he just shrugged.
I’m a wanderer,” her annoying giggle sounded off. “Here, get inside.”
His sweaty palm had already twisted the door knob and was now holding it open while she finally released his arm and went inside. The moment he shut the door and turned on the light, her little smirk turned into a devious one.
She bit her lower lip and a finger beckoned him forward whereas his hand ran over the object hidden inside the depths of his front jeans pocket, before he did as she wished.
Only to play along, his hands pushed against her waist, pinning her to the wall; his own smirk appeared but he had a different meaning behind his smirk, a meaning that she wouldn’t understand; for now.
His lips apathetically touched the skin on her neck while his hands brought hers above their heads, squeezing them. And then, that infuriating, stupid, little giggle rang in his ear. His teeth gritted; he had had enough.
Markus’ hand dug into his pocket, pulling out a pencil. Within one quick movement, he’d jabbed it into the middle of her throat, piercing through the skin and puncturing her Aorta.
Blood spurted onto his face, his hair, and even his clothes but still he paid no head to it. His face leaned in, his lips right beside her ear. “Your laugh is so annoying, I can’t stand it.” Pulling back, he continued. “It’s like someone taking a needle to my brain and stabbing it over and over and over again.”
Pulling back, his eyes took in her horrified face and the noises that spurted out of her mouth as well as her blood that spat into the air with each sputter. Her hands folded around her throat, trying to make an endeavor to stop the hemorrhage. This only made Markus’ lip curl upward.
You’re so pathetic, and you always have been. I mean, who would flaunt around bragging that they’re a whore?” His head moved backward, as though, if he got to close, he’d be infected by her filth.
You’re body was wasted on a ghastly soul. But hopefully I can find use in it.”
The thought of carving into her skin, ripping apart her ribcage, and touching, for the first time, human organs made a greedy smile slide onto his face.
Just a few more seconds and then. . . “
Just at that moment, Rivers slid onto the floor and with one last choke on her blood, ceased to move.
Now that he sat in the silence, what he had just done began to really settle in. But even when it did, it hardly bothered him. All he had to do was remember that god-awful laugh. When he did so, he was able to grab the knife out of his pocket and cutting off her shirt and bra before pressing it deep into her skin and pulling it downward, all the way to the end of her stomach; beginning his much anticipated first human autopsy.

It is good! Disturbing, but interesting. The description is very good and I like the way you describe facial expressions.The grammar and puctuation seem okay, with no mistakes I could find. The only downside to it that I can see is that it's hard to know who is the protagonist and who is the antagonist; Markus is clearly a murderer but Emily is made to seem annoying and there is no real reomorse for what he does. Because the story focuses on Markus, the reader is affected by the way he thinks. This is good and means you are a good writer! Well Done! :-)

There will definitely be more job opportunities in the north. I personally live in Naples and I've been here for three years now working as an English teacher. I'm not going to get rich doing it but there's never a shortage of work. I won't advise naples, but you might want to check it out. It is either a city that you hate or that you love.

So I've looked into this fairly in depth. My entire family is 100% Italian and I've been to Italy and I would like to have dual citizenship there. The easiest person to go through is my paternal grandmother, not only because she's still alive but because she is a resident alien in the US and never got naturalized as a US Citizen.

What embassies/consulates can I contact in Maryland (where I live) to figure out exactly what certificates I need to go through with this? It really means a lot to me, but what I've found online is very confusing. It would be helpful if there was a number to call an embassy or something.

My twelve year old wants to sing. He has never been much interested in sports, but he's always shown a talent for stage, etc. He can act and sing. He's never been to any lessons or anything. His voice is pretty good for a twelve year old. He saw the Justin Bieber movie recently, and now he's even more inspired. No, he's definitely not some crazed Bieber fan, but he wants to sing and someday work with Justin Bieber. He's really serious about this. I think that he could be something one day, but I honestly have no idea where to start. What does a mom do? Do I post videos of him singing on YouTube? Do I look for a website? I've been vegan for almost four years now and I'm always tired all the time. I take a vegan multi-vitamin, but while looking up ideas for smoothies online I read a lot of recipes with vegan soy protein powder added in. Is that something that fellow vegans would recommend? Can a lack of protein in my diet be to blame for making me tired? I get enough sleep at night, but after 8 hours of being awake I am tired enough for a nap. LOL

Prtien is the source of energy, and without it, you're left off feeling tired all the time, as you mentioned. Soy is a source of protien for vegans, as well as other sources. Nuts, rice, lentils, potatoes, chick peas, seeds and grains ae also great places to get protien, so try eating more of those foods. You should notice an increase in energy due to the consumption of more protien.

I spoke to my friend over facebook 2 days ago and asked her what she was doing tuesday (today),
she told me that her and another friend were gonna hang out, i asked her if i could go with them and she agreed. I asked her the time to meet but she said she didn't know.
I checked my Facebook everyday since then to find out the times and whatnot, today i logged on and found status' from her saying how she had a nice day with the friend mentioned earlier and this other girl!
I didn't comment but i'm pissed that i wasn't told of the times and she just went and forgot me!
I also feel annoyed how no one even cares if i feel okay or not, whenever i speak to people maybe 1 or 2 people out of 10+ ask me if i'm okay, the rest waffle on about themselves and want my opinions about them and if i try and say something that happened in my life they just say "cool" in a bored tone and move onto themselves again!
This is really upsetting me as i feel that no one even cares if i'm there or not.

If i run in place for an hour or even just 30 mins a day every week, will i really lose that much pounds?? I am currently about 140Ibs so Im really heavy and just gaining not losing weight so far. This is really depressing. I know the whole low carb/ low calore diet but it doesnt really help me.

I'd like to know on AVERAGE, how many pounds could a person expect to lose an hour just simply running in place every day? Is that good enough??

Sadly Exercising is just soo hard for me. I get tired just running or doing anythin really. I cant even do 10 pushups without falling. I hate it! I need some motivation, I dunno. First of all, 140 pounds is not really heavy. It depends on your height for sure. For many heights, that is an average weight. You will definitely lose weight if you do that and your body is not used to doing any workouts. However, I think it will be difficult to stay motivated to run in place because frankly it just sounds really boring. I also cannot do 10 push ups, but I don't consider myself to be in really bad shape.. I personally like going on the treadmill. I'm not big on running so I walk at about 4 mph at the highest incline. Also, I found that reading a magazine or watching tv really helps the time pass by since I also do not enjoy working out. Eventually you will get in a habit of doing it and will feel bad if you miss a day. Adding any amount of exercise to your day will certainly help you lose some weight if you really are overweight, but like I said, 140 lbs definitely isn't obese or anything.

Well Ive Lost 80 Pounds Since...The beginning Of October and the Diets never worked for me so i just found things i liked in Reduced Fat and Fat free and lowered my Calorie and Fat intake.... but do it slowly and it will be much easier most of the online sites never really did me any good so if you want to try something diffrent and make you'r diet your OWN and whats good for you then just start finding foods that are filled with calories and fat and never go under 1200 calories aday and do some situps before bed or so and you should be good to go

Im recently talking to this guy and we have been in the process of getting to know one another.He recently went on vacation to italy for a month and said he hoped i have a great summer and he mananged to keep in contact with me while he was there.He has asked me lots of questions such as whats my major? my hobbies? how many classes im taking this summer? etc. We met a few times at church and he wanted to hang out during this summer but i been busy with summer school and work that it was not possible. I do cardio and combine some light toning exercises.

For example, I would love to lose 2 to 3 pounds of fat per week. And I know that there is 3500 calories in a pound. How many calories do I need to burn daily if I eat around 1200 or less??

If you are lightly active with an average height/build, I'd suggest perhaps around 1400 would be more appropriate. The aim is to lose FAT not water or muscle. And this is a slow steady process if you want to keep the fat off for good.

got the job offer of a life time and NEED to get back into shape quick! I have great metabolism and work-out schedule, but it means nothing without a good hardcore protein diet.

Ive done some research finding what foods need to be a part of my diet, now i just need to find a way to combine them and actually make a meal (and schedule my diet). ANY ADVICE WOULD BE TERRIFIC AND MUCH APPRECIATED!

Ingredients Im planning on using (so far) recommended by AskMen.com:

At least 2 pieces of fruit daily. (this will be easy, i make smoothies twice a day anyways. but any suggestions on how to combine these other ingredients into a smoothie would be great)

Low-Sodium Cottage Cheese, 1/4 Cup = 14g Protein, only 80Cal, and 2g of fat!

Unsweetened Oatmeal (could add protein powder to this too, along with Cinnamon? art. sugar?)

SPINACH (also was recommended trying it cooked...brings out the extra healthy or something)

Peanut Butter, 1-2 tablespoons = hunger control for hours. maybe add to oatmeal

Egg (whites?) - easy to prepare, quick, cheap, healthy. 6g protein, only 60 cal

Oysters - I know nothing about how to prepare oysters. BUT, 100g oysters = 20g protein, 5g fat

Quinoa! - this is where i really need help. such an awesome grain i want it in everything!ha ideas?!

Almonds - 1/4 Cup = 8Grams of protein! i like the sound of that. (maybe in a spinach salad?)

Chocolate milk - especially skim. mixes well with protein. (recommended shamrock farms brand)

Lean ground beef. 100g of beef = 30g protein, 11g fat, 200 cal

Soy - (i don't even know what i should specifically be looking for) but 1Cup = 20g of Amino Acids!

Chicken - 100g = 31g protein, only 4g fat. chicken/spinach salad of course, but what else?

FISH - 100g = 25g protein. Recommended Salmon and Tuna. Need recipes/ideas!

I love to make smoothies and not to to experienced in the kitchen, but if i have a recipe i know how to follow directions. Any help with combining these foods, recommending other foods i should include in my diet, or pointing me in the direction of a already formed schedule with listed meals would be GREATLY appreciated.

I don't see how you can realistically lose 5 lbs or more of fat in 7 days...up to 3 lbs/wk is doable by eating right and exercising...if you had a couple of weeks, it would be more realistic...

Lose what you can lose safely...and keep it up until you reach your goal...then continue to eat right and stay active, to keep those pounds off...good luck!!!

Okay so I was arguing with this idiot who told Selena Gomez to die. I'm a normal fan of her and that comment really offended me. I was also very stressed out that day and apparently decided to cuss that person out. I'm not the one to be scared of online threats, but that person told me she was going to report my comment/channel to the police. However, I checked her channel today but it was suspended. I've never seen any soda with animal ingredients, but then I'm not much of a soda drinker. I might have one per month, if that. I guess it's possible that some soda might not be vegan though, so just check ingredients. You might want to try sparkling juices instead of soda though. Hain and I think Izze make mostly sparkling juices, maybe some soda too, I can't remember. They taste a hell of a lot better in my opinion, because they aren't so sickly sweet, and you get better flavors. I love Izze. If you're talking beer, which is also "fizzy" (carbonated), then you'll want to check ahead of time because many beers (and liquor, wine, etc.) use animal ingredients in the refining process. http://barnivore.com is a good reference for this. As far as animal ingredients in general, there are a few decent, although incomplete, lists on the web. Just google "animal ingredients". hello. i need advice. i am a college student 19, 5'3" and currently weigh 140 lbs. i am determined to lose 25 lbs and tone up in my legs, back, stomach and arms. i'd love to reach this goal by june (basically i have 6 months). here is what i'm planning...

-exercise 5 days a week at my college gym: burning 1,000 calories a day by doing cardio (elliptical, treadmill, stair-master, etc.) and maintain a fat burning heart rate of around 140-150 beats per minute. (is that correct?)

-take several aerobic gym classes, 2 a week (fun ones such as hip-hop and kickboxing)

-strength train 2 days a week (weight lifting and machines)

-abs 2 days a week

-stretch after every workout for 10-15 minutes. (maybe even yoga if i feel like it!)

-eat around 1,200 calories (too much? too little?)

-consume at least 8 glasses of water a day (totaling 64 ounces)

-get 8 hours of sleep a night

-eat at least 3 servings of fresh vegetables/fruit a day.

-shoot for no more than 1 sweet/junk food item a day

-weigh myself once a week, measure my hips, waist, thighs, and bust once a month to chart progress.

* i am trying to lose this weight safely and avoid using diet pills or other diet products. i do not want to gain this weight back. i would like honest, serious advice from people who know what they're talking about. is this plan good? am i setting myself up for failure? thank you all so much for your criticism and advice!

Salsa Omelet - South Beach Diet Recipe (Phase 1)
Add as much or as little of these items as you want I don't use a certain amount)
low fat ham
green peppers (chopped)
onion (chopped)
mushrooms
1 slice low fat cheese
salsa
2 eggs

Take ham, onion, green peppers, & mushrooms and cook in a frying pan with a little water. After everything is cooked enough for your tastes put them on a plate. Take 2 eggs (or egg beaters whichever you prefer) and scramble in a bowl with a little water. Then spray pan with butter flavored spray and put in eggs. Spread to fit bottom of pan then cover it cooking on low heat. When eggs seem completely cooked, put cooked veggies on one side of the flattened egg, place half a slice of the cheese on top. Let it melt a little (you can put the cover back on so it will melt faster or just leave it there for a few minutes. Then take a little salsa and spread on top of the cheese. Fold the side of the egg that has nothing on it over top of the veggies and cheese, then put the other half of the slice of cheese on top of the omelet. Take out of the frying pan and top with a little more salsa.

Shrimp Scampi - South Beach Diet Recipe (Phase 2)
Ingredients:
1 pound cleaned and deveined shrimp
2 Tablespoons I Can't Believe it's Not Butter
2 Tablespoons olive oil
4 large cloves garlic
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup cooking dry white wine
Pinch of dried hot pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the I Can't Believe it's Not Butter and oil in a skillet over med-hot heat till foam subsides. Add the garlic, parsley, lemon juice, cooking wine, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 3 minutes. Add shrimp and cook, stirring frequently, for 5-6 minutes till shrimp are pink. Remove from heat. Place on serving plate and pour sauce over shrimp from the skillet. Serve immediately.

2 Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
Slit open on the side for stuffing; set aside.
3 In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, spinach, garlic,
eggs and 3/4 of the cheese. Mix well and stuff each breast
with 1/4 of the mixture; secure with toothpicks and place
stuffed breasts in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Pour sauce over all and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
4 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 to 60
minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear

Lunch – Roast Beef Wrap
1 ? cups reduced-fat cream cheese
4 flour tortillas (9” or 10”)
? red onion, sliced
4 spinach leaves
8 ounces roast beef, sliced

Spread a small amount of cream cheese over the tortilla. Layer the spinach, onion, and roast beef, roll up, and fold. Serves 4.

For reasons that had nothing to do with him, so he starts liking 3 or 4 of her pics in a row & then inboxes (on facebook) her saying "I still want my 2nd dinner date, here's my #", Mind you, they went out 9 months prior & hooked up 6 months prior... Does he sound like a weirdo or what? Or was his ego possibly hurt that chick changed her # & didn't see why he needed it since they hadn't talked in 2 months or so?

FYI, he's married (but separated, and I didn't know this in the beginning), has 3 kids, and 3 baby mama's... He's 27... I'm 22, no kids, in college, single, and I work.
